Philantropy

Always moving in the right direction.

As a perennial advocate and philanthropist, DuBarry Hay has been a tremendous
supporter of Olive Crest of the Coachella Valley, a charity she promoted in the valley that supports abused and neglected children. She helped raise more than $3 million, enabling the organization to build four large homes in Coachella. She was on the board at Palm Valley School in Rancho Mirage (previously Marywood-Palm Valley), where she started the international student program.

In addition, she brought Coachella Valley BookPALS to the desert, a program started in Los Angeles, in which actors and others promote literacy by reading to children. The program has been successfully run for the past decade by Tere Britton, whose volunteers read to some 2,000 children weekly, still advancing the mission.

Today, this dynamo continues to make an impact on a grand scale. Now as much as ever, and as only she can, DuBarry Hay moves the planet forward.
